What should I wear for a professional headshot?+
Choose clothing that reflects how you dress professionally at work — a well-fitted blazer, a smart shirt, or a clean-lined dress. Solid colours photograph better than busy patterns. Avoid very bright white next to your face (it can affect skin tones) and very deep black if your background is dark.
Should I choose a studio or outdoor setting?+
Studio-style headshots (plain background) work well for company directories, academic profiles, and application photos. Outdoor Cambridge sessions (The Backs, a college courtyard, or the riverside) produce more distinctive images ideal for personal branding, LinkedIn, and speaker profiles. I can also shoot in your office with a portable backdrop.
How many images will I receive?+
The LinkedIn Session includes 3 fully retouched images — enough for a great LinkedIn profile, website, and email signature. The Professional Portrait package provides 8–10 images across different expressions and looks. Team packages provide 3 retouched images per person.
Can you shoot on-site at our Cambridge office?+
Yes — for teams, on-site sessions are often the most efficient solution. I bring a portable seamless backdrop and professional lighting to your location. I work quickly: most individuals take 10–15 minutes each, so a team of 8 can be completed in a half-day session.
How quickly will I receive my images?+
Individual sessions: 3 working days. Team sessions: 2–3 working days. Rush delivery (same or next day) available for an additional fee — just let me know when you enquire.
Can I use the images commercially?+
The LinkedIn Session licence covers personal use (LinkedIn, personal website, social media). The Professional Portrait and Team packages include full commercial use licences covering company websites, marketing materials, press, and advertising.
