Images that make clients feel safe, seen, and confident before they even pick up the phone — warm, credible, and completely authentic to who you are.
Warmth and approachability
Potential clients are in a vulnerable position when they look for a therapist. Images that feel open, gentle, and inviting reduce the barrier to reaching out.
Professionalism and credibility
Your training, qualifications, and experience are foundational. Your images need to communicate competence — not in a corporate way, but in a reassuring, grounded one.
Safety and non-judgement
The look in your eyes, your posture, your setting — all communicate whether this is a safe space. Brand photography allows you to control that message intentionally.
Guided and unhurried
Many therapists find having their photo taken uncomfortable — the opposite of how they make their clients feel. I work slowly and gently, with lots of direction throughout.
True to your environment
Whether it's your consulting room, a park, a yoga studio, or a neutral indoor space — we shoot in environments that reflect how your clients experience you.
Multiple expressions and moods
Therapists need warmth, focus, and openness — not just one look. I capture a range so your images work in different contexts: website header, About page, profile photo, social media.

I find having my photo taken really difficult. Can you help?
Yes — this is the most common thing I hear from therapists, and it's one of the reasons I particularly enjoy working with you. The strategy we build together makes the session feel purposeful, not exposing. And once we get going, most people find it much easier than they expected.
Should I shoot in my consulting room?
Possibly, yes. It depends on the room — natural light makes a big difference. If your space has good light, it's often the most authentic setting. I can advise after seeing a few photos you send me in advance. If the space doesn't work, we find an alternative together.
Do I need props for a therapy brand shoot?
Only meaningful ones — a journal, a cup of tea, plants, a comfortable chair. Nothing that doesn't exist in your actual practice. Over-styled imagery with stock-like props undermines the authenticity your clients need to feel.
How are images used in therapy marketing?
Website header, About page, Google Business profile, Psychology Today or similar directory listings, Counselling Directory, social media, email newsletters. A full session gives you covered for every platform you use.
