Do you photograph children's birthday parties in Cambridge?
Yes — children's birthday parties are some of the most joyful photography I produce. I photograph at your home, in village halls, at soft-play venues, in gardens, at farm and activity centre venues. Wherever the party is, I will work with the available light and environment.
How do you get natural photographs of children at parties?
By being unobtrusive and genuinely interested rather than directing. Children ignore photographers who hold back and observe; they perform for cameras that are pointed at them constantly. I stay low, stay back, and wait for the real moments.
Do you photograph milestone adult birthday parties?
Yes — and increasingly so. A 40th or 50th birthday party with friends and family from different chapters of a life gathered together is a significant event that deserves a proper photographic record. The Half-Day or Full Party Day packages work best for adult celebrations.
How many photos will we receive from a birthday party?
Approximately 25 images per hour as a guideline — so a 2-hour party yields 50+, a 4-hour party 100+. Quality over quantity: every delivered image will be worth keeping.
Can you photograph the birthday portrait session alongside the party?
Yes — a brief portrait session of the birthday child in their outfit, before the chaos of the party begins, is available as an add-on to any package at no extra charge for sessions at your home in Cambridge.
