Cherry Blossom Photography UK — Portrait Sessions at the Year’s Most Beautiful Moment
Blossom photography sessions are among the most sought-after and quickly booked sessions of the year — timed to the peak of cherry blossom bloom in late March and April, when trees that are unremarkable for 50 weeks of the year become extraordinary backdrops of pink and white cloud. The window is short: typically 10–14 days in any given year, and location-dependent. The photographs produced in this light and setting are unlike anything possible at any other time.
Yana Skakun Photography’s annual cherry blossom mini session series is held at carefully selected locations where the blossom density and backdrop quality are at their finest. Sessions are 30 minutes, producing 15–25 fully edited images, and are available for families, couples and individuals. Waiting list priority is given to returning clients; new registrations are invited from January onwards for that year’s series.
How to Book a Blossom Session
Blossom sessions cannot be booked months in advance with a fixed date — the blossom timing varies by up to three weeks from year to year depending on winter temperatures and spring weather. The booking approach is therefore a waiting list system: families and couples register interest and are notified when the blossom is imminent, with 5‗10 days’ notice for their confirmed slot. This system ensures sessions happen at the actual peak rather than on a date that misses the bloom.
