Transparent travel costs and clear coverage area — where I go, what it costs and how destination photography is handled.

I'm based in Cambridge and travel regularly across the UK for sessions and weddings. My geographical coverage is broad — I photograph regularly in London, across East Anglia, in the Midlands, and travel further for weddings, destination sessions and commercial work.
Travel fees apply beyond my base travel radius and are calculated transparently. For destination work — overseas weddings, international commercial photography — travel, accommodation and subsistence costs are quoted in advance as part of the booking agreement.
There are no surprise charges. All travel costs are detailed in the booking contract before any payment is made.
Sessions within approximately 30 miles of Cambridge carry no travel fee — this covers most of Cambridgeshire, parts of Suffolk, Hertfordshire, and into North London.
I travel to London regularly for portrait, commercial and headshot sessions. Standard London sessions carry no travel surcharge — London volume makes it cost-effective.
Sessions beyond 30 miles are charged at 45p per mile from Cambridge, rounded to the nearest £10, covering the return journey. Quoted in advance — never a surprise.
UK weddings outside my free zone are quoted individually — typically mileage for local venues or mileage + potential accommodation for distant venues. Accommodation is required for weddings where the ceremony site is more than 2 hours from Cambridge.
Destination weddings and international commercial photography include flights, accommodation and subsistence at cost — no markup on these expenses. Detailed quotes provided at inquiry stage.
For sessions with significant travel, minimum booking values apply to ensure the economics work for both parties. Discussed at enquiry stage on a case-by-case basis.
