Photographer St Ives

St Ives is a market town in Huntingdonshire set on the Great Ouse — the medieval bridge, with its rare 15th-century bridge chapel one of only four surviving in England, is one of the most evocative architectural landmarks in the Cambridgeshire region. The Great Ouse meadows upstream and downstream provide open, light-filled, water-edged landscape for outdoor portrait sessions. I photograph weddings, families, and portrait commissions across St Ives and the wider Ouse Valley, working with the town's exceptional riverside character and the surrounding villages.

Holt Island Nature Reserve — a wooded island in the Ouse accessible by footbridge from the town — provides an intimate, nature-enclosed setting quite different from the open meadow landscape of the river corridor. The nearby villages of Hemingford Abbots and Hemingford Grey, both among the most picturesque in Huntingdonshire, extend the portrait setting options into thatched-cottage and churchyard territory.
