Beyond Cambridge city itself, Cambridgeshire's vast flat landscape, fen rivers, ancient market towns, and open skies provide a unique and photogenic backdrop for family photography. The Cam valley at Ely, the wild Wicken Fen, the parkland at Wimpole, the riverside at St Ives, and the orchards and farmland of south Cambridgeshire all offer settings quite unlike anywhere else in England.
I'm local to Cambridgeshire and know the county's best locations across all seasons. April and May bring spectacular blossom and bluebells; September and October bring golden harvest light across the open fen. There's no travel charge for Cambridgeshire sessions.

Cambridgeshire Family Photography FAQs
When is the best time to book a family session in +
Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) give the best light and colour. Summer golden-hour sessions (6–8pm) are especially beautiful. I recommend booking 6–8 weeks ahead to secure your preferred date.
What if my children won't cooperate?+
Completely normal — I work in a relaxed, child-led way. I don't direct children into poses; I follow their lead and photograph the real interactions. The best images often come from 'uncooperative' moments.
Which Cambridgeshire location would you recommend?+
It depends on your family's personality and what kind of images you want. I'm happy to advise based on your preferences — contact me and we'll find the perfect spot.
Can we bring our dog?+
Absolutely — dogs are very welcome. They often add the best moments of the session. Just let me know in advance so I can plan the location to be dog-friendly.
How long until we receive our photos?+
Your private online gallery will be ready within 10 business days of the session. You'll receive a link to download all your images in full resolution.
