Where Your Investment Goes
What You're Really Paying For
The session fee covers far more than the hours you see me with a camera.
Shooting time
Only a fraction of the time I spend on your project happens at the session itself. Scouting locations, equipment checks, driving, and setup all happen before the first frame is taken.
Editing & retouching
For every hour of shooting, I typically spend 3–5 hours in post-production — culling, colour-grading, and retouching each delivered image individually. Never batch filters. Never rushed.
Equipment & insurance
Professional full-frame camera bodies, a set of prime and zoom lenses, lighting gear, memory cards, storage, and full public liability and equipment insurance. These are non-negotiable.
Experience & skill
Years of learning to work quickly in unpredictable light, manage nervous subjects, anticipate moments, and deliver consistent results. That's what you're paying for — not just a camera click.
Client care
Email and WhatsApp communication, planning calls, preparation guides, gallery hosting for 3–6 months, product fulfilment, and follow-up. The session is one part of a much larger service.
A Note on Weddings
The One Thing You Can't Redo
The average UK wedding costs £30,000. Most of that — the flowers, the food, the champagne — will be gone by morning. The photographs are the only thing left. They're what you'll show your children, frame on your walls, and look at on every anniversary.
Spend money on a photographer who will still make you proud of those images in 20 years. That's not a sales pitch — it's just perspective.

Do you require a deposit?+
Yes — a 25% deposit secures your date and is deducted from the total fee. The balance is due 2 weeks before your session (4 weeks for weddings booked 6+ months ahead).
Do you offer payment plans?+
Yes, for weddings and larger packages. We can split the balance into monthly instalments — just mention it when enquiring and I'll set up a schedule that works for you.
Are your prices fixed or negotiable?+
My prices reflect the time and quality that goes into every project. I don't discount, but I do work with you to find the right package for your budget. If you're between packages, let's talk.
What's included in the price — prints, albums?+
All packages include a digital gallery with full-resolution downloads. Printed products (prints, albums, wall art) are available at additional cost. Wedding album add-ons start from £450.
Do you charge for travel?+
No travel fee within 30 miles of Cambridge. Beyond that, a mileage rate of £0.45/mile applies. For weddings requiring overnight stays, accommodation costs are quoted separately.
