Bridal Portrait Sessions — Beautiful Portraits of You, Without the Wedding Day Rush
A wedding day is one of the most photographed days of most people's lives — but it is also one of the busiest. Between ceremony, guests, family groupings and celebration, there is often very little time for the quiet, unhurried portrait session that produces truly beautiful photographs of the bride alone. Bridal portrait sessions exist to solve that.
Booked separately from the wedding day — typically one to three weeks beforehand — a bridal portrait session gives you unhurried time in your dress, at a beautiful location, working with Yana one to one. No timeline pressure, no family waiting, no guests to manage. Just the dress, the light, and two hours to create the most beautiful photographs of you that have ever been taken.
What the Session Includes
Bridal portrait sessions typically run 90 minutes to two hours and take place at a location chosen specifically for its beauty and alignment with the feel of your wedding — a country estate, a walled garden, a cathedral close, a beach, a meadow. Yana will suggest options based on your dress, your aesthetic and what's practical for your location. Hair and makeup should be done as for the wedding day. The images can also serve as a beautiful reveal for your partner, or as the source for your wedding stationery portraits.
When to Book a Bridal Portrait Session
The ideal timing is 1–6 weeks before the wedding — close enough that the dress alterations are completed and you feel completely confident in how you look, but far enough before the wedding day that there is no pressure. Many brides also book a day-after shoot — returning to a favourite location the morning after the wedding while everything is still fresh and the dress can be worn again more freely.
Available across Cambridgeshire, London, the Home Counties, East Anglia and across the UK. Destination bridal portrait sessions in Europe also available.
