Everything You Need to Know
Can't find your answer below? Send me a message and I'll get back to you within 24 hours.
Start by filling in the contact form or sending a WhatsApp. We'll have a quick chat to make sure it's a good fit, then I'll send a booking contract and invoice for the 25% deposit. Once that's signed and paid, your date is confirmed.
Portrait and family sessions: 2–4 weeks is usually fine, though popular months (May–September) book up quickly. Weddings: I'd recommend booking 9–18 months in advance — I typically have just 20–25 wedding dates per year.
The deposit is 25% of your total package fee. It's non-refundable if you cancel, as it holds your date and compensates for prep time. If you need to reschedule, the deposit transfers to your new date (one reschedule with 2+ weeks' notice, free of charge).
The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your session. For weddings booked more than 6 months ahead, the balance is due 4 weeks before the date. I'll always send a reminder.
Yes — for weddings and larger packages I'm happy to arrange a payment schedule. Just ask when you enquire and we'll work something out that suits you.
For families and couples: coordinate rather than match. Layered neutrals, soft textures, and complementary tones photograph beautifully. Avoid large logos, neon colours, and very busy patterns. Check out my What to Wear guide for detailed advice and examples.
I shoot on-location — outdoors in parks, woodland, gardens, beaches, urban spaces, or at your home. For headshots and corporate work I can also hire a studio locally. We'll choose a location together based on the look and feel you want.
Mini sessions: 30 minutes. Standard portrait/family sessions: 1–1.5 hours. Extended/multi-location: 2–3 hours. Wedding coverage ranges from 4 hours to full day (12+ hours) depending on your package. I always allow buffer time — no rushing.
I'm happy to shoot in overcast light (which is actually ideal for portraits) and light rain. If conditions are genuinely unsuitable — heavy rain, storm, extreme heat — we'll reschedule at no extra charge. I monitor the forecast closely in the week before your session.
I'll send a tailored prep guide once you're booked. General tips: get a good night's sleep, stay hydrated, arrive a few minutes early to settle in, and trust the process. The more relaxed you are, the better the photos.
Portrait and family sessions: approximately 2 weeks. Corporate / headshots: 5 business days. Weddings: 5–6 weeks. Rush delivery (any session type) is available for an additional fee — ask when you enquire.
Via a private, password-protected online gallery. You'll get a link and password by email. From there you can download all images at full resolution, share the gallery with family, and order professional prints and products.
This depends on your package. As a guide: mini sessions ~20 images, standard portrait sessions 50–80, full family sessions 80–120, wedding Essential 200–300, Classic/Full Day 400–600+. I never pad galleries — every image delivered is worth keeping.
Every delivered image is individually colour-graded. A set number of 'fully retouched' images receive portrait retouching (skin refinement, blemish removal, etc.) — the number depends on your package. The rest are delivered as high-quality colour-corrected selects.
Yes — additional full retouching is available at £5 per image beyond your package allowance. Just flag which images you'd like extra work on when you view your gallery.
Portraits and family galleries: 3 months. Wedding galleries: 6 months. I strongly recommend downloading everything as soon as you receive your link. Extended gallery hosting is available if needed — just ask.
Absolutely. All images are delivered at full resolution and you're free to print them wherever you like. However, I also offer professional fine-art prints, albums, and wall art through my gallery platform — the quality is noticeably better than high-street printing.
Yes — beautiful lay-flat fine-art albums are available in various sizes. We design the album together from your favourite images. Wedding albums can be added to any package and make the most treasured wedding gift.
I shoot most weddings solo, which keeps the atmosphere intimate and keeps costs down. For larger weddings (100+ guests, multiple venues on the same day, or full-day coverage) a second shooter can be arranged — ask for a quote.
Yes. I'm based in Cambridgeshire and travel across England and Wales with no travel fee within 30 miles of Cambridge. Beyond that, a mileage or accommodation fee applies — all transparently quoted when you enquire.
Yes — I always shoot with two full-frame camera bodies, multiple lenses, and carry backup flash gear. Equipment failure has never caused me to miss a shot, and I intend to keep it that way.
In the highly unlikely event that I'm genuinely unable to attend due to serious illness or emergency, I maintain trusted relationships with other professional photographers who would step in. This has never happened, but you can book with confidence knowing there's a plan.
Still have a question?
I'm always happy to chat — no question is too small. Send a message and I'll reply within 24 hours.
