When is the best time for a maternity session in Cumbria?+
28–34 weeks is the sweet spot for most women — your bump is beautifully rounded and you're still comfortable walking on easy Lake District paths. Autumn colours (October–November) and spring wildflowers (May) are both extraordinary.
Do you travel to Cumbria for maternity sessions?+
Yes — I travel across England, including Cumbria. Travel and accommodation costs for Cumbria are quoted transparently when you enquire. The landscapes make it completely worthwhile.
Can we do a mountain or fell walk for the session?+
Gentle walks to accessible spots — Tarn Hows, Aira Force, the Derwentwater shoreline — are perfect for maternity sessions. I don't recommend strenuous fell walking but there is remarkable beauty available at any fitness level.
What should I wear for a Cumbrian maternity session?+
Flowing fabrics in soft neutrals photograph beautifully against Lakeland scenery. I send a detailed style guide on booking. Comfortable walking shoes are essential — waterproof-lined if possible.
