Luton and the surrounding Bedfordshire and Chilterns countryside offer remarkable variety for outdoor maternity photography. The Capability Brown parkland at Luton Hoo — sweeping lawns, a broad lake, ancient woodland, and Edwardian formal gardens — has been one of England's great landscape settings for centuries. Dunstable Downs, rising to the south, is National Trust chalk downland with views in all directions.
In Luton itself, Wardown Park's Victorian lakeside setting and Stockwood Park's estate gardens provide beautiful, accessible alternatives. I photograph maternity sessions across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and the Chilterns, working in natural light at the hours when the landscape looks its most beautiful.

Between 28 and 34 weeks is golden — the bump is beautifully prominent and you are still comfortable moving between locations. Luton Hoo's grounds look spectacular in spring with blossom, and Dunstable Downs is at its best in summer when the chalk grassland wildflowers are out.
Luton Hoo is a Capability Brown-designed landscape park — one of the great English country house grounds — with sweeping lawns, a large lake, and ancient woodland. The Edwardian rose gardens add a formal elegance. It is a setting with extraordinary variety and consistently beautiful light.
Dunstable Downs is one of the finest chalk downland sites in the National Trust. The wide open grassland gives panoramic views over the Vale of Aylesbury, and the late afternoon light on the downland in summer is extraordinary for maternity portraits — warm, golden, and perfectly even.
I cover Luton and the wider area including Dunstable, Harpenden, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Bedford, and into the Chilterns. Travel within 25 miles of Luton is included in standard session fees.
