Natural portraits in Cheltenham's Regency parks, along the Promenade, and in the Cotswolds countryside beyond the town.
Cheltenham's Regency architecture gives portrait photography here a particular elegance — the symmetrical white-stucco terraces of the Imperial Square area, the formal avenues around Pittville Park, and the decorative ironwork of the Promenade are unmistakably Cheltenham and make beautiful architectural backdrops for portrait sessions.
Pittville Park — the town's largest ornamental park — offers open lawns, a lake, and the bandstand area that works beautifully in soft morning or evening light. Cleeve Hill above the town provides open Cotswold countryside views for more natural, landscape-style portraits. I travel regularly to Cheltenham for individual, couple, and family portrait sessions.

Pittville Park has a good mix of open space, mature trees, and the Regency Pump Room building itself — offering variety within a single location. The long avenue approaching the park and the ornamental lake both photograph beautifully in golden-hour light. It's accessible from the town centre and rarely crowded for an early morning session.
Yes — Cleeve Hill is just a short drive from the town and gives open Cotswolds views. Villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Bourton-on-the-Hill, and the Slaughters are all within easy reach of Cheltenham for extended sessions combining town and countryside.
Yes — Cheltenham is a particularly good family portrait location: the parks are spacious, children have room to move naturally, and the variety of settings within Pittville Park alone keeps even restless toddlers engaged.
Cheltenham is on my regular travel circuit. A travel supplement applies and will be quoted upfront as part of your session quote.
