How Proposal Photography Works
The proposer contacts Yana directly, shares the planned location, date and approximate timing, and all logistics are arranged discreetly. On the day, Yana arrives early, scouts the position and is completely invisible when the moment happens. The resulting images capture the genuine, unrehearsed reaction of the person being proposed to — one of the rarest and most precious emotional expressions a photographer will ever document.
After the Proposal
Many couples continue directly into a short engagement photography session in the same location while the emotion is still fresh and the ring is newly on the finger. This combination of proposal and engagement photography in a single session produces an extraordinary record of the beginning of the engagement. Combined packages are available.
