Wedding Album Design — The Physical Home for Your Most Important Photographs
A wedding album is not simply a collection of photographs in a book. It is a designed, edited, sequenced narrative of your wedding day — the product of decisions about which images matter most, how adjacent photographs speak to each other, the pacing of the story from getting ready to the last dance. Good wedding album design produces an object that tells the story of a day better than any digital gallery can, and that becomes more meaningful every decade it sits on the shelf.
Yana Skakun Photography works with premium fine art album suppliers whose books are made to museum archival standards — heirloom-quality volumes designed to outlast the generation that ordered them. Fine art wedding albums are available in parent and guest book sizes, with a range of cover materials including linen, leather and velvet, and fully customised lay-flat page layouts designed around the specific story of each couple’s wedding.
The Album Design Process
The design process begins after gallery delivery with a selection of your favourite images. Yana produces an initial design draft — typically 40–60 images across 30–40 spreads — which is then refined through up to two rounds of revisions until the design perfectly reflects your priorities. Production and delivery typically takes 6–8 weeks after design approval. Albums are available to purchase at any point, not just at the time of booking.
Parent Albums & Guest Books
Parent albums — smaller companion books designed for immediate family — are among the most cherished wedding gifts an adult child can give their parents. They typically share a cover material and design language with the main album while featuring a curated selection of the family-focused images. Guest signature books with preview photographs allow guests to leave messages alongside images from the day. Contact Yana for the current album price guide.
