Alternative Dark Wedding Photographer

Not every couple with a dark aesthetic identifies with goth culture or heavy metal. Some couples simply prefer dark colour palettes, dramatic venues, black florals, candlelit receptions, and photography that does not flinch from contrast and shadow. They might describe themselves as alternative, or unconventional, or just "not into the white and bright thing."

This page exists for exactly those couples. The photography approach is the same regardless of whether you call it dark alternative, moody, dramatic, or just "our vibe" — I work with shadow, contrast, and the particular quality of darkness that creates atmosphere rather than fighting it with flash and reflectors.

I travel across the UK for weddings in this register — industrial spaces, converted churches, countryside ruins, moodily lit restaurants, arts spaces with low ambient light. The photographic vocabulary of dark alternative weddings is one I understand and find genuinely interesting to work within.
