For events with a large number of categories, I work systematically through the programme, positioning to capture each presentation moment. I will review the running order with the event organiser in advance and plan the coverage to ensure every award presentation is documented. Winner portrait sessions after the ceremony ensure every winner receives individual photographs.
How do you handle low-light venues for awards evenings?
Awards ceremonies are typically held in dark venues with stage spotlights and ambient low light. I use professional event photography equipment — including high-performance telephoto lenses and subtle portable flash where appropriate — to produce clean, professional images in these challenging conditions. All lighting situations are assessed on arrival.
Can winner images be delivered quickly for press releases?
Yes — a priority selection of winner photographs can be delivered within 24–48 hours for press release use, announcement posts and trade publication submissions. Please specify this requirement at booking. The full gallery follows within 5 business days.
Do you photograph team group shots and table photographs at awards evenings?
Yes — table-by-table group photographs are a standard part of awards evening coverage. These are typically taken during dinner service. Please flag specific tables or groups that require priority coverage in the event briefing.
Can you cover awards ceremonies at venues outside Cambridge city centre?
Yes — I cover awards ceremonies and gala events across Cambridgeshire including venues in Ely, Peterborough, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas. Travel beyond 20 miles from Cambridge is charged at a standard mileage rate.
