Dalt Vila — The UNESCO Old City

The fortified old city of Eivissa (Ibiza Town) — Dalt Vila — is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A 16th-century circuit of Renaissance defensive walls rises above the harbour. Inside, narrow cobbled alleyways climb steeply to the cathedral and castle at the summit, passing Moorish houses, baroque churches, and viewpoints that look out over the port below. Early morning (before 8am) gives access to these alleyways without the summer crowds. The view from the castle terrace over the old town rooftops, the harbour, and Formentera island beyond is one of the best in the western Mediterranean.

Best Photography Locations in Ibiza

• ◆Cap des Falcó and Ses Salines: The salt pans in the south of the island — a pink-tinged lagoon flanked by tamarind trees, with flamingos in autumn and spring. The Cap des Falcó headland above the pans faces southwest and provides outstanding sunset photography positions. The beach of Es Cavallet immediately north is a long white sand beach facing open sea.
• ◆Es Vedrà: A dramatic 400-metre limestone sea stack rising from the sea off the southwest coast, visible from the Cala d'Hort beach below. Es Vedrà is one of the most visually striking natural elements in Spain — a sheer rock tower, dark against the sea and sky. The clifftop path above Cala d'Hort provides elevated views of the stack with a wide-angle sea background.
• ◆Ibiza fincas and rural interior: The traditional Ibizan farmhouse — low whitewashed cubic form, small windows, thick walls, often surrounded by ancient olive trees (some 2,000 years old) or almond orchards. These finca-style properties, particularly visible in the rural municipalities of Sant Antoni and Sant Joan, provide a distinctive local architectural backdrop.
• ◆Cala Conta (Comte): Rocky headland on the west coast with multiple small beach coves and clear water. Popular in summer but beautiful in the morning before midday. The view north across the islets of Conillera and Bosc, with Ibiza Town visible to the south, is expansive.

• ◆September–October: The season winds down but the island remains warm and beautiful. October Ibiza has become increasingly popular with couples wanting the off-season atmosphere and lower accommodation prices.
• ◆June–August: Peak season. Busiest and most expensive. The nightclub and club-tourist traffic is at its height. Photography at all locations requires early morning timing to avoid crowds.
