The timing of your session relative to your due date matters more than the season itself: most photographers recommend booking between 28–34 weeks, when the bump is full and round but you are still comfortable moving freely.
When to book: the 28–34 week window
At 28 weeks, the bump is typically clearly visible but you are not yet at the stage of significant discomfort. By 34 weeks, the bump is full and pronounced. After 36 weeks, standing, moving, and holding poses for extended periods can become difficult, and birth may be imminent. Book your session at around 20 weeks to secure the date — most photographers recommend this lead time.
