Cambridge Wedding Photography
Natural, unposed wedding photography across Cambridge and Cambridgeshire. Your wedding day as it really happened.
Check AvailabilityThe Backs, the punts, the cyclists — Cambridge is a city in constant organic motion. Candid photography here captures the city's real character as backdrop to your wedding, not a posed imitation of it.
The atmosphere in a Cambridge college chapel or formal hall is genuinely emotional — the acoustics, the architecture, the occasion. Candid photography captures that atmosphere; posed photography interrupts it.
Cambridge weddings often bring together guests from many different backgrounds and countries. Candid photography celebrates that diversity naturally, capturing genuine interactions across language and cultural boundaries.
Grantchester Meadows, the Cam, the fens — Cambridgeshire's natural settings are at their most photogenic when people move through them naturally rather than standing in them stiffly.
South Farm, Madingley Hall, Long Barn: Cambridgeshire's relaxed rural venues have a warmth and informality that candid photography captures better than any directed session. The spontaneous moments are the best ones.
With candid coverage, your wedding gallery is a genuine record of the day — the laugh during the speech, the tears at the first dance, the children asleep under the table. These are the images that matter twenty years on.
Travel within Cambridgeshire included. Online gallery, print licence, full-resolution files.

It means I observe and document rather than arrange and direct. I find good positions, watch for moments developing, and photograph them as they peak. You and your guests behave naturally because no one is being positioned or told what to do.
Yes — the couple portraits are part of every package. I take you away for 15-20 minutes at golden hour (or whenever the light is best) and give you space to simply be together. The results are relaxed and natural because the approach is gentle, not rigid.
All of them, in different ways. College venues like Trinity Hall and King's give dramatic architectural candids. Country houses like Madingley Hall and Long Barn give warm social candids. The Backs and Grantchester give natural, pastoral candids. The variety is part of what makes Cambridge so photographable.
Candid photography is specifically good for people who dislike being photographed. Because I am not focusing on you or directing you, most of the time you won't know I'm there. The couple portraits are brief, and I aim to make them genuinely comfortable rather than performative.
It works especially well for large weddings. More guests means more simultaneous moments to capture — the group in one corner, the children in another, the old friends reuniting. The Premium package adds a second photographer for large weddings, ensuring nothing is missed.
