Every session includes
Brighton Seafront & Palace Pier
The iconic Victorian pier, the shingle beach, the beach huts at low season, and the West Pier ruin — all best photographed in early morning or golden hour when the crowds are thin and the light comes in off the sea.
South Lanes & The Lanes
The original fishing village at the heart of Brighton — narrow passages, flint and brick facades, independent jewellers, and a labyrinthine quality that makes every turn a new photograph.
North Laine
Brighton's creative quarter — colourful shop fronts, street art, the morning light on Gardner Street and Sydney Street, and the kind of individual character that makes this part of the city completely its own.
Hove Lawns & Palmeira Square
The long Regency seafront of Hove — lawns, white stucco terraces, and the enormous Channel sky. Less busy than central Brighton, with a more spacious, architectural quality.
Devil's Dyke, South Downs
The glacial valley five miles north of Brighton with panoramic views across the Weald and the coast — the most dramatic downland landscape close to the city, and one that photographs spectacularly at sunrise or sunset.
Brighton Pavilion Gardens
The Royal Pavilion's restored Regency pleasure gardens — a surprisingly lush and secluded outdoor space at the heart of the city, with the extraordinary Indo-Saracenic domes as backdrop.
Do you travel to Brighton for couples sessions?
Yes — Brighton is fully within my travel range. A travel supplement of £65 applies. Sessions can be booked easily with 3–4 weeks' notice.
We feel awkward in front of a camera — will it show?
Almost every couple says this, and almost every couple is surprised by their photographs. I work through movement and activity prompts rather than asking you to pose — the result is natural and real.
What's the best time for a Brighton couples session?
Brighton is at its most photogenic in the golden hour before sunset, when the light comes in low off the sea and the beach and the pier glow. Early mornings on the seafront — before the crowds — are also exceptional. The South Downs photograph beautifully in every season.
How long is the session?
Standard couples sessions are 75–90 minutes — enough time to explore 1–2 locations and come away with a wide variety of images without feeling rushed.
Can we shoot at our Brighton wedding venue beforehand?
Absolutely — and I actively encourage it. A pre-wedding session at your venue gives both of us an invaluable understanding of the light and space before the wedding day. Brighton has some exceptional wedding venues and it's always worth an advance visit.
Tell me your preferred date and which part of Brighton calls to you — I'll confirm availability and suggest the best locations for your season.
