Manchester
Relaxed, unposed couples portraits in Manchester's most atmospheric locations — the Northern Quarter, Castlefield, Salford Quays, and beyond.

Mark your engagement with a relaxed session — perfect for save-the-dates, wedding websites, and simply celebrating the occasion.
Anniversary portraits
Your 1st, 5th, 10th — any anniversary worth celebrating is worth photographing. Often these become an annual tradition.
Just because
You don't need a reason. Most couples have very few photographs of themselves together that they actually love.

Give or receive a couples session as the most personally meaningful gift of the year.
One fee covers the session, all editing, and your full image gallery — no hidden extras. A travel supplement of £75 applies for Manchester.

Every session includes
Northern Quarter
Manchester's creative neighbourhood — independent shops, brick arches, vibrant murals and the atmospheric backstreets of Tib Street and Stevenson Square.
Castlefield Roman Fort & Canal
The Roman fort ruins and Victorian viaducts around Castlefield Basin give Manchester a dramatic industrial-historical backdrop unlike anything in a southern city.
Salford Quays & MediaCityUK
The redeveloped docks with ship canal reflections, contemporary architecture, and the long waterfront promenade — particularly beautiful at golden hour when the water turns molten.
Heaton Park
One of the largest municipal parks in Europe — the boating lake, terraced gardens, and the classical hall provide a very different Manchester from the city centre.
Didsbury Village
A tree-lined Victorian suburb with a relaxed village atmosphere, riverside Mersey meadows, and the kind of unhurried quality that photographs beautifully in any light.
Manchester Cathedral Quarter
The medieval cathedral, Chetham's Library, and the ancient lanes of Hanging Ditch — the oldest layers of the city, and some of its most characterful photographs.
Do you travel to Manchester for couples sessions?
Yes — Manchester is fully within my travel range. A travel supplement of £75 applies for sessions in the city. Sessions are typically booked with at least 3–4 weeks' notice to allow for location planning.
We feel awkward in front of a camera — will that show?
Almost every couple says this. And almost every couple is surprised by the result. I work through movement and activity prompts — walking together, looking at something, a small task — rather than asking you to pose. The images come out natural and real.
What's the best season for a Manchester couples session?
Manchester works beautifully in every season. The Northern Quarter and Castlefield photograph well in overcast light — and there's plenty of that to go round. Spring brings blossom to Didsbury and Heaton Park. Long summer evenings at Salford Quays are spectacular. Autumn gives rich colour in the parks.
How long is the session?
Standard couples sessions are 75–90 minutes. This gives enough time to visit 1–2 locations, settle into the shoot, and create a wide variety of images without feeling hurried.
Can we choose our own Manchester location?
Always. If there's a place in Manchester that means something to you — where you met, your favourite bar, a park you walk every Sunday — we can shoot there. I'll research the light and access beforehand.
Tell me your preferred date and which part of Manchester appeals to you — I'll confirm availability and suggest the best locations for the season.
