Natural · Unposed · Timeless
Norfolk is one of the most photographically varied counties in England — from the extraordinary beaches of the North Norfolk coast to the historic grandeur of Blickling, the tranquil waterways of the Broads, and the medieval lanes of Norwich.
I offer documentary-style family sessions that prioritise real moments over posed arrangements — sessions designed to capture the texture of your family life as it genuinely is, in settings that suit your family.

The finest coastal backdrops
Holkham and Brancaster beaches offer a scale and grandeur almost unique in England — vast skies, white sand, ancient pines. Utterly unlike any other family photography setting.
Varied all-season landscapes
From spring bluebell woodland to summer coast, autumn estate colour, and crisp winter parkland — Norfolk offers a different backdrop for every visit.
Historic National Trust estates
Blickling and Sandringham both allow photography in their grounds — providing settings of genuine architectural grandeur for family portraits.
Unhurried, documented sessions
My approach is observational, not directed — real interactions captured as they happen, not arranged for the camera. The result is authentic and lasting.
Locations
Holkham Beach & Estate
One of England's most spectacular beaches — three miles of white sand fringed by Holkham Hall's ancient pinewood. Golden hour on the North Norfolk coast is unmatched for family portraits.
Norfolk Broads
England's inland waterways and wetland landscape — the Broads offer a unique, tranquil photographic environment with boat hire, reed beds, and wide Norfolk skies.
Blickling Estate (NT)
One of the finest Jacobean houses in England, surrounded by formal gardens and ancient woodland — a naturally grand setting for family portraits in any season.
Sandringham Estate
Open parkland around the Royal residence — mature woodland, wide lawns, and picturesque estate architecture give scope for both intimate and sweeping portraits.
Norwich
The medieval city centre — flint-walled lanes, the Cathedral Close, and Elm Hill provide an atmospheric urban setting for families who prefer a city backdrop.
Yes. I cover all of Norfolk — from Norwich to the North Norfolk coast, King's Lynn to the Broads, and everywhere in between. Travel within 30 miles of Cambridge is included in the session fee; a small mileage supplement applies to locations further afield in Norfolk.
May–June and September–October offer the finest combination of warm light, manageable crowds, and comfortable conditions. Summer is beautiful on the coast but can be crowded at popular locations; autumn offers extraordinary colour at Blickling and other woodland estates.
For peak season sessions (May–June, August, October) I recommend booking 2–3 months in advance. I release limited dates and they fill quickly. For winter dates there is usually more availability.
Co-ordinated and relaxed works best — similar tones without matching outfits. For coastal sessions, consider the wind and opt for slightly warmer layers than you think you need. I send full styling guidance after booking.
Yes — larger family sessions with grandparents, cousins, and extended family are a particular speciality. The Extended Family package is designed for groups of up to 20 people across 3 hours.
