Wigan has some of Greater Manchester's most beautiful natural spaces — the ancient woodland of Haigh Park, the sweeping wetlands of Pennington Flash, and the West Pennine Moors just to the south. These form wonderful backdrops for relaxed, natural family photography.
My approach is unhurried and playful. I don't direct rigid poses — instead I encourage families to simply be together: walk, laugh, explore, and interact naturally. The real moments of connection are what make family photographs last a lifetime.

What if my children won't cooperate?+
Completely normal — and honestly, the unplanned moments make the best photos. I work at a child's pace, keeping things playful and fun. Bring snacks, their favourite toy, and plenty of time.
What is the best time of year for family photos in Wigan?+
Haigh Woodland Park is magical with bluebells in May. Autumn colours peak in October–November. Golden-hour sessions in summer (evenings) are beautiful. Every season has its charm — I'll advise on the best light for your chosen location.
