Dundee sits at the mouth of the Tay, and the city's domestic architecture reflects the character of the Scottish stone-building tradition. The West End stone tenements and Victoria villas in Broughty Ferry have generous rooms and excellent window light. Angus countryside stone farmhouses, set wide in their plots, have a spacious calm that makes them among the most peaceful settings for newborn photography.
I come to your home in the first two weeks after your baby is born. Two to three unhurried hours, natural light, no equipment beyond my camera. The session documents the actual reality of your first days — how your home looks, how you hold your baby, how light falls at that specific time. Photographs your family will return to for decades.

When should I book a newborn session in Dundee?+
During pregnancy is best, to secure a date in your due-date window. Lifestyle newborn sessions work best in the first 5–14 days when babies sleep deeply during the session. I hold provisional dates and confirm when your baby arrives.
Do you travel to Forfar, Montrose, Arbroath, Perth, and surrounding areas?+
Yes — I cover Dundee and a wide area of Angus and Perthshire including Forfar, Arbroath, Montrose, Kirriemuir, and Perth. Travel within 25 miles of Dundee city centre is included in the session fee.
What makes Dundee homes good for newborn photography?+
Dundee has a distinctive domestic character shaped by its Scottish stone building tradition. The Victorian stone tenements of the West End and Broughty Ferry give generous living rooms with good window light. The stone-built Victorian villas of Broughty Ferry and Barnhill, set back from the estuary, have particularly lovely light on clear days. Angus stone farmhouses and cottages have a spacious quality that photographs beautifully.
Are siblings and family portraits included?+
Yes, always. Sibling portraits are among the most requested and most treasured images from any newborn session. They are always included without additional charge. I'm experienced working with young children during these gentle sessions.

Via private online gallery within 5–14 days of your session. Both high-resolution print files and web-sized files are included. You can download, share, and print directly.
