The newborn window is the first two weeks of life — this is when babies are most deeply sleepy and the features (tiny curled fingers, the fold of a newborn ear) are freshest. Much of Telford's housing is new town stock from the 1960s–80s: house types with good-sized windows, open-plan ground floors, and reasonable ceiling heights that all work well for lifestyle photography with available light. Victorian Ironbridge terraces have the classic bay windows and high ceilings that photograph beautifully. I assess the light in your home when I arrive and we work in whichever rooms suit best.
