Natural family portraits, wedding photography and headshots in Burwell and east Cambridgeshire — relaxed outdoor sessions amid Devil's Dyke, Wicken Fen and the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside.
Book a SessionBurwell is a large and historic east Cambridgeshire village situated between Ely, Newmarket and Cambridge, at the edge of the chalk escarpment where the Fenland gives way to the gently rolling countryside of the Newmarket heathland. The village is notable for its extraordinary late-Gothic church of St Mary (described by Nikolaus Pevsner as one of the finest in Cambridgeshire), the prehistoric earthwork of Devil's Dyke nearby, and its proximity to Wicken Fen — the oldest nature reserve in Britain. For photography, the combination of historic village fabric, open chalk grassland and Fenland waterways creates exceptional variety.
I photograph families, couples, newborns and individuals in Burwell and across east Cambridgeshire — Newmarket, Soham, Ely, Cambridge and the surrounding villages. The Devil's Dyke chalk grassland area is one of my favourite locations for late-afternoon family and engagement sessions; the Fen edge waterways and Burwell Lode offer beautiful waterside settings in any season. I cover the whole of Cambridgeshire for weddings and portrait sessions.
