Photographer Grassington

Grassington is often called the capital of Upper Wharfedale — a beautifully preserved stone-built Dales village with a cobbled market square, traditional pubs and gift shops and the characteristic limestone architecture of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The village and its surrounding landscape offer a remarkable range of portrait settings: the cobbled village centre, the river meadows of the Wharfe, the open limestone moor above the town and the dramatic limestone crags further up the dale at Kilnsey and Malham.

Upper Wharfedale between Grassington and Kettlewell is one of the quintessential Yorkshire Dales landscapes — dry-stone walls dividing the green valley floor into a patchwork, the river glinting below, moorland rising on both sides. I photograph families, couples, weddings and individuals in Grassington and across the Yorkshire Dales — Skipton, Harrogate, Ilkley, Settle and the broader National Park. I travel across North Yorkshire and the Pennines for portrait and wedding sessions throughout the year.
