Hitchin is one of Hertfordshire's most characterful historic market towns — and since the 2010s it has become nationally famous as the home of Hitchin Lavender (Cadwell Farm), where three kilometres of lavender rows flower each July and August against the Hertfordshire hills. The lavender farm has become one of England's most sought-after portrait locations, drawing photographers and families from across the country. Alongside Hitchin Lavender, the town offers the beautiful medieval St Mary's Church, the historic Priory, the chalk stream River Hiz and close access to the Chilterns escarpment and North Hertfordshire downland.
I photograph families, weddings, couples and individuals in Hitchin and across North Hertfordshire — Letchworth, Stevenage, St Albans, Bedfordshire border and the surrounding villages. The lavender season (July and August) fills quickly — please enquire early for lavender farm sessions.
