How far is Lavenham from Cambridge — is there a travel fee?
Lavenham is approximately 35 miles from Cambridge — about 45 minutes by road. I cover this area regularly and apply no travel supplement for Lavenham sessions.
What time of day do you recommend for a Lavenham portrait session?
Early morning — particularly between 7am and 9am — is exceptional in Lavenham. The town receives very few visitors before mid-morning, the light falls down the medieval street at a beautiful angle, and the atmosphere is entirely different from the busy afternoon. Late afternoon golden hour is also excellent. I strongly recommend avoiding midday sessions when the town is at peak visitor volume.
