Photographer Macclesfield

Macclesfield sits at the eastern edge of the Cheshire plain where it rises to meet the first gritstone ridges of the Peak District — giving the town an unusual and photogenic dual character. To the west, the flat pastoral Cheshire landscape of black-and-white farmhouses, parkland and affluent villages like Prestbury and Alderley Edge. To the east, within minutes of the town centre, the extraordinary Macclesfield Forest, the Shutlingsloe summit (the 'Cheshire Matterhorn'), the gritstone edge of Tegg's Nose and the reservoir and moorland landscape of the Peak District fringe.

For portrait photography this duality is a real asset: you can be in mature woodland by a reservoir within ten minutes of the town centre, or on an open gritstone moorland viewpoint in twenty. I photograph weddings, families, couples and individuals in Macclesfield and across east Cheshire — Knutsford, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Bollington and Manchester. I travel across the north of England for weddings and portrait sessions throughout the year.
