Creative photography in the heart of East London — weddings, headshots, portraits and events for Shoreditch's vibrant creative and professional community.
East London Creative Photography
Shoreditch is unlike anywhere else in the UK. Compressed into a few square miles of East London straddling Hackney and Tower Hamlets, it has evolved from the 19th-century furniture trade district and early 20th-century Jewish immigrant community into one of the world's most concentrated creative, tech and cultural environments. The street art of Brick Lane, the converted warehouses of Curtain Road, the Victorian terraces of Hoxton, the startup culture of Silicon Roundabout — all create a visual backdrop of extraordinary richness and variety for photography.
I photograph weddings, engagement sessions, portraits, professional headshots, brand photography and corporate events across Shoreditch and the wider East London area. Shoreditch couples tend to choose creative documentary wedding photography that reflects the area's energy and authenticity — warehouse receptions at venues like Hoxton Hall, Old Spitalfields Market, XOYO, or Ace Hotel Shoreditch, rather than the traditional country house wedding. My approach is natural and observational — I tell the story of your day as it unfolds, rather than choreographing it.
For headshots and professional photography, Shoreditch's tech community — the hundreds of startups, agencies and scale-ups clustered around Silicon Roundabout (Old Street), Curtain Road and Scrutton Street — needs portraits that communicate ambition, credibility and authenticity. LinkedIn profiles, company websites, pitch decks, speaker bios: the contemporary headshot in 2024 needs to stand out from an increasingly crowded professional landscape, and it needs to feel real.
I cover Shoreditch, Hoxton, Spitalfields, Bethnal Green, Hackney, Dalston, Bow, Whitechapel, the City fringe and all of East London for every type of photography session. I also travel nationally and internationally — most of my Shoreditch clients travel or work internationally, and I regularly photograph destination weddings and assignments across Europe.

Locations
The famous street art walls, Truman Brewery courtyard and Old Spitalfields Market provide an unmistakably urban, creative backdrop for portraits, engagement sessions and wedding coverage.
Shoreditch's independent boutique strip — Victorian iron railings, colourful shopfronts and cobbled side streets create a naturally textured portrait environment that holds light beautifully.
Two of East London's most distinctive public spaces — Hoxton Square's plane trees and Arnold Circus' bandstand (Britain's first council estate, 1900) offer intimate, less crowded portrait settings.
Shoreditch and Hackney's converted warehouses and rooftop venues offer extraordinary elevated London views — ideal for editorial portraits, brand photography and creative headshots.
On Sunday mornings Columbia Road becomes a riot of colour and personality — a unique setting for portraits, engagement photographs and documentary-style family photography.
The towpath running east through De Beauvoir Town and Haggerston provides a linear, water-side setting beloved by portrait photographers — quiet on weekday mornings.
