Talkin Tarn is the most practical — beautiful, accessible, and varied. Hadrian's Wall is the most spectacular — especially at Steel Rigg or around Birdoswald Fort. For a softer lakeland feel, Ullswater is under an hour away and worth the journey.
Do you travel to the Lake District for portrait sessions?+
Yes — Ullswater, Windermere, Coniston, and the wider Lake District are all in my Cumbria coverage area. Travel to the Lake District from Carlisle is an additional travel charge; contact me for a specific quote.
Can we shoot at Hadrian's Wall?+
Yes — Hadrian's Wall is on public rights of way for most of its length, and several of the most photogenic sections (Birdoswald, Lanercost, near Brampton) are freely accessible. English Heritage at certain managed sections may have specific requirements.
How much does a Carlisle portrait session cost?+
Individual sessions from £195 (60 min, 15+ edited images). Couple sessions from £245. Small groups (up to 5) from £295. Sessions include editing and a private online gallery.
Do you travel to Penrith, Hexham, or across the Scottish border?+
Penrith is within standard Carlisle coverage. Hexham, Alston, and the North Pennines are within reach with a small travel addition. I also regularly travel to Dumfries and Galloway for clients near the Scottish border.
