Few UK cities offer the landscape variety of Plymouth — Hoe and Sound, Dartmoor, South Devon coast, Tamar Valley, and National Trust estates. I photograph individuals, couples, authors, and professionals who want portraits that genuinely reflect where they live.

Plymouth has exceptional variety. Plymouth Hoe and the Sound offer dramatic coastal backdrops with Devon's distinctive blue sea light. Mount Edgcumbe Country Park across the Tamar has formal and wild gardens, woodland, and an extraordinary panoramic view. Haytor on Dartmoor provides granite moorland with huge skies. Wembury Beach and the South Devon Coast path give intimate cove and wildflower cliff scenes. Saltram House NT offers formal parkland and walled gardens.
Late spring (May–June) at Plymouth Hoe gives warm, clear days with vibrant colour. August on Wembury Beach produces golden dusk light. September–October on Dartmoor is outstanding — warm tones and low sun. Winter at Mount Edgcumbe, with pale light through bare woodland, is strikingly atmospheric. Each season offers something different and I'm happy to advise.
Yes. Plymouth has a significant academic and creative community at the university and beyond — writers, artists, researchers, and consultants. I photograph professional portraits for books, press, institutional profiles, and LinkedIn across Plymouth and Devon.
I cover Plymouth and the wider South West: Tavistock, Ivybridge, Totnes, Kingsbridge, South Hams, Dartmouth, and locations across Dartmoor National Park. Travel within 25 miles of Plymouth is included.
