Questions
We're not comfortable in front of a camera — will it show?
Every couple says this before the session. By the end of every session, they've forgotten the camera is there. I work slowly, quietly, and give gentle prompts that create natural movement — not poses. The photographs look nothing like how you imagine they will.
Can one partner buy this as a surprise for the other?
Absolutely — many Valentine's sessions are booked this way. The surprise is usually the whole point. I can issue a PDF gift card for the occasion.
When should we shoot relative to Valentine's Day?
Most couples book the session in the days either side of February 14th. February evenings have beautiful, low winter light. Sessions are available on weekends in late January and February specifically for this.
What should we wear?
Coordinate rather than match — similar tones work better than identical outfits. Avoid very bold patterns. Bring layers for winter sessions. Most importantly: wear what makes you feel like yourselves.
