Beautifully designed, handcrafted albums built to last a lifetime — and to be passed down through generations
Why a Physical Album
Digital galleries are convenient, but they are not forever. Hard drives fail. Cloud services change their pricing. File formats become obsolete. A physical album, made to archival standards, will be readable in a hundred years without any technology at all.
More than that — a well-designed album changes the way you experience your wedding photographs. The sequence, the pacing, the juxtaposition of images on facing pages — a beautifully designed album tells the story of your day in a way that no gallery can replicate.
I design every album personally, selecting and sequencing images to create a narrative that flows from morning to evening. The result is something your children and grandchildren will be able to hold, turn the pages of, and fully understand.
Album Range
Every album is individually crafted. Choose from a range of binding styles and cover materials to create something that is uniquely yours.
The most popular choice — press print albums offer rich, vibrant colour reproduction and a clean, modern aesthetic. Printed on premium photographic paper and bound to last a lifetime. An ideal balance of quality and value.
Lay-flat binding allows double-page panoramic spreads to open completely flat — the gold standard for showcasing grand landscapes, wide ceremony shots, and group portraits without the crease running through the centre of an image.
A muted, tactile linen cover in a range of neutral tones — understated, elegant, and beautifully textured. The classic choice for couples who prefer a timeless, editorial aesthetic over embossed ornament.
Full-grain leather covers in a choice of natural hues — a warm, substantial, heirloom-quality finish. Leather ages beautifully and is the most traditional choice for a wedding album intended to be passed down.
Smaller companion albums for parents and grandparents — designed to complement the main album with a curated selection of family portraits and ceremony highlights. Available as a matching set or independently.

Questions
Once you have received your final image gallery and made your image selection, I begin the album design within 2 weeks. You will receive the first design draft for review and can request changes in two rounds of revision (three on the Heirloom package, unlimited on Ultimate). From final approval, albums are printed and delivered within 4–6 weeks.
Press print albums are printed on photographic paper using a digital press — they offer vivid, accurate colour and are the most widely used format in professional wedding albums. Fine art printing uses archival pigment inks on heavier, acid-free art paper with a matte finish — the result is a more painterly, museum-quality look with exceptional longevity. Fine art printing is available as an upgrade on the Heirloom and Ultimate packages.
Yes — additional 4-page sections (2 spreads) can be added to any album at the time of ordering. This is the most cost-effective way to include more images. Significant additions are best discussed before design begins so that the layout can be structured accordingly.
I design your album for you as part of every package — professional album design is included in the price. You choose your favourite images from your gallery (or I can make a suggested selection if you prefer) and I design a full layout for your review. You then give feedback, and I make revisions until you are completely happy with the design.
Albums are currently offered exclusively to couples whose wedding photography was covered by Yana Skakun Photography. This ensures the images are edited to a consistent standard and that the album design reflects the full cohesion of your gallery.
Our albums are manufactured to archival standards — the pages, inks, and binding materials are all selected for longevity. Stored away from direct sunlight and damp, a well-made wedding album should last well over 100 years. The leather and linen covers are equally durable and designed to age with beauty.
