Many couples tell me their post-wedding shoot produced their favourite photographs of the entire wedding story. The relaxation shows. The joy is unguarded. The light can be exactly right because we can choose the time and place rather than working around a fixed schedule.

Rock the Dress Session
Wear your dress again — this time with no timeline, no guests to manage, no nerves. A rock the dress session is pure freedom: you, your partner, your wedding attire, and nowhere else to be. The results are often the most adventurous and editorial photographs from your entire wedding story.
Trash the Dress
Walk into the sea. Lie in a field. Run through the rain. A trash the dress session lets you use the dress exactly as the dress deserves — without caution. Water, mud, golden wheat fields, crashing waves — the images are extraordinary and the experience is liberating.
Anniversary Portraits
Return to your wedding attire on your first anniversary — or any anniversary — for portraits that capture who you are now, not just who you were then. An annual tradition that documents your story as it continues to unfold.

What is a post-wedding shoot?
A post-wedding shoot — also called a rock the dress, trash the dress, or day-after shoot — is a dedicated portrait session after your wedding day where you wear your wedding attire again. Without the schedule and pressure of the wedding day itself, these sessions produce some of the most relaxed, adventurous, and visually stunning photographs from your whole wedding story.
Will the dress get damaged in a trash the dress session?
That is entirely the point — and entirely your choice. Some couples want to wade into the sea with the dress; others prefer to run through fields or roll in autumn leaves without getting wet. I plan the session around exactly what you want, and we can be as adventurous or as gentle with the dress as you choose. Many couples find it surprisingly freeing to let go of the idea of keeping the dress perfectly pristine.
When should I book a post-wedding shoot?
Post-wedding shoots can happen any time after the wedding — the day after, a month later, a year later, or on your first anniversary. Many couples book for the golden season (late summer/early autumn) regardless of when their wedding was, to take advantage of the best light and landscape. I recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance to allow time to plan the location and timing.
Can we choose the location for our post-wedding shoot?
Absolutely — in fact, I encourage it. The most meaningful post-wedding shoots happen in places that matter to the couple. Your wedding venue, the beach where you got engaged, the countryside where you grew up, a city you love. I am also happy to suggest locations based on the style of images you want. I travel throughout the UK for post-wedding sessions.
We did not have an engagement shoot — can a post-wedding shoot fulfil that role?
Entirely. A post-wedding shoot gives you the relaxed, extended portrait session with your photographer that an engagement shoot would have provided beforehand. The bonus is that you are now married, you know each other even better, and you already know you love the way I photograph you.
