The gap between receiving your image gallery and holding your finished album is a process — image selection, design, review, approval, production — and understanding how it works reduces the anxiety that comes from not knowing where you are in it.
The first step is selecting the images for the album from your full gallery. This is your choice, with guidance. A standard 30-spread album includes 60 to 100 images. Selecting from 600 feels daunting; the selection guide provided makes it manageable. Most couples complete their selection within a week once they sit down to do it.
Once your image selection is confirmed, the album design begins. Using specialist album design software, each spread is considered individually — which images to pair, how much white space to include, when to use a full-bleed image across both pages, when to use a smaller clean layout with breathing room. The editing philosophy is minimal: the photographs should speak rather than the layout.
Design typically takes 7 to 10 working days. You will receive a PDF preview of every spread.
You review the design and request any changes. Most couples request minor adjustments — moving one image to a different position, removing a spread they feel is duplicated, adding one more from a moment they want represented. Two rounds of revisions are included; additional rounds are available if needed.
Once the design is approved, the order is placed with the manufacturer.
Professional wedding albums are manufactured in Europe — typically Italy, which remains the world centre of fine photobook production. Production takes 4 to 6 weeks. The album is delivered directly to you, packaged in a presentation box. Most albums also come with a parent insert set for any family members who want copies.
