Where to shoot in Leeds
Roundhay Park
One of Europe's largest urban parks — 700 acres with Waterloo Lake, the Canal Gardens rose garden, tropical butterfly house, and ancient managed woodland. Extraordinary variety within a single park.
Kirkstall Abbey
The 12th-century Cistercian abbey on the River Aire — one of the most complete medieval ruins in England. The great arch, the cloister outlines, and the river backdrop create an exceptional atmosphere any season.
The Calls & Leeds Waterfront
The regenerated canal and riverside between Brewery Wharf and Granary Wharf — Victorian warehouse architecture, narrow locks, cobbled towpaths, and the Blue Hour city skyline reflected in still water.
Golden Acre Park
The lakes, heather beds, Japanese garden, and woodland walks on the northern edge of Leeds — less visited than Roundhay but privately beautiful and particularly good in autumn.
Corn Exchange & City Arcades
The Victorian Corn Exchange's circular roof and the Grand Arcade interiors offer characterful covered backdrops — particularly useful for winter sessions or for couples who want an urban rather than pastoral feel.
Yorkshire Sculpture Park (Wakefield)
Just outside Leeds in the Bretton estate — Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth bronzes scattered through 500 acres of parkland. One of the UK's most extraordinary open-air gallery settings.

Do you travel to Leeds for couples sessions?
Yes — Leeds is a regular destination for me. A travel supplement of £75 applies. Sessions should be booked with 2–3 weeks' notice to allow for location planning and to secure a good weather window.
We're not very photogenic — will this be awkward?
Almost every couple says exactly this. I use movement-based prompts rather than poses — walking together, looking at a detail, a specific small moment — and the resulting images look natural and genuinely you, not like a photo shoot.
What's the best time of year for a couples session in Leeds?
Spring (April–May) brings blossom to Roundhay and bluebells to the woodland areas. Summer evenings at Kirkstall Abbey have extraordinary warm light on the old stone. Autumn turns the parks to amber and gold. Each season is genuinely beautiful — the session can be planned around your availability rather than waiting for a specific window.
Can we visit both Kirkstall Abbey and Roundhay in one session?
They're about 20 minutes apart by car — for a full 90-minute session, we can split time between two locations. For the shorter 45-minute golden hour session, one location works best. I'll advise on the right choice based on the season and your session time.
How long until we receive the images?
Edited galleries are delivered within 7–10 days via a private online gallery. You'll receive full download access with print release included.
