Where to shoot in Liverpool
Sefton Park
Liverpool's finest Victorian park — 235 acres with the ornate cast-iron Palm House, Eros fountain, boating lake, ancient plane trees, and a bandstand at its heart. Stunning in every season.
Albert Dock & Pier Head
The Three Graces of Liverpool's waterfront — the Cunard, Royal Liver, and Dock Company buildings — with the Mersey and the Wirral behind. Blue hour on the dock is particularly beautiful.
Calderstones Park
The ancient walled gardens, rose garden, glacial boulder inscribed with Neolithic carvings, and mature parkland of Calderstones — quietly beautiful and underused as a location.
Port Sunlight Village
William Lever's model village on the Wirral — wide tree-lined boulevards, extraordinary Edwardian cottage architecture, and the Lady Lever Art Gallery. A uniquely beautiful and slightly other-worldly location.
Crosby Beach (Another Place)

Do you travel to Liverpool for couples sessions?
Yes — Liverpool is a regular destination. A travel supplement of £80 applies. Sessions should be booked 2–3 weeks in advance to allow for weather-watching and location planning, especially for Crosby Beach which is best at specific tidal and light conditions.
We're not comfortable being photographed — will it be awkward?
Almost every couple feels this way beforehand and almost none feel it after the first ten minutes. I use movement-based prompts rather than posed directions — the images end up looking natural and genuinely you.
What's the best time of year in Liverpool?
Sefton Park's magnolias and cherry blossoms peak in April. Summer evenings on the Albert Dock have extraordinary warmth and golden-hour light. Autumn brings Calderstones into rich colour. Crosby Beach works in any season — the moody winter light there can be particularly powerful.
How do we get to Port Sunlight from Liverpool?
Port Sunlight is on the Wirral, about 20 minutes by Merseyrail from Liverpool Central — or a short drive through the Mersey Tunnel. It's one of my top recommendations for couples who want a setting genuinely unlike anywhere else in England.
