Your 1st, 5th, 10th — any anniversary worth celebrating is worth photographing. Oxford only gets more beautiful with familiarity.
Just because
You don't need a reason. Most couples have very few photographs of themselves together that they actually love.

Every session includes
University Parks
Oxford's 70-acre park beside the River Cherwell — ancient chestnuts, a walled rose garden, the cricket ground, and the gentleness of a university park that has barely changed in a century.
Christ Church Meadow
The meadow walk between the river and the college walls — ancient pollard elms, the Thames, and the towers and spires of Christ Church rising above the treeline behind. One of the most beautiful urban landscapes in England.
Port Meadow & Binsey
The ancient common land west of the city — flooded in winter to mirror the sky, grazed by horses and cattle, with the distant towers of Oxford visible behind. Wild and grounding.
Bodleian Library Quarter
The Radcliffe Camera, the Schools Quadrangle, and the ancient lanes around the Bodleian — the ultimate Oxford backdrop, particularly beautiful in low morning light.
Addison's Walk, Magdalen College
A circular walk through Magdalen's water meadows — snowdrops in February, fritillaries in April, and the deer park visible through the fence. Requires Magdalen College access.
Oxford Botanic Garden
England's oldest botanic garden, beside the Cherwell and the High Street — the walled garden enclosure, the glasshouses, and the riverside path all photograph beautifully.
Do you travel to Oxford for couples sessions?
Yes — Oxford is one of my most frequently visited locations outside Cambridge. A small travel supplement of £45 applies. Sessions need booking with 3–4 weeks' notice to allow for location planning and, where needed, prior access arrangements.
We feel awkward in front of a camera — will it show?
Almost every couple says this. And almost every couple is surprised by the result. I use movement and activity prompts — walking, looking at something together, a specific small action — rather than posing. The images come out natural and real.
What's the best season for a couples session in Oxford?
Spring is spectacular — University Parks and Magdalen's water meadows are among the best bluebell and blossom locations in England. Summer evenings have long golden light. Autumn turns the parks and meadows rich amber. Even winter in Oxford has particular moody beauty.
Can we include Oxford college grounds?
Some college gardens are accessible to the public; others require prior arrangement or charge entry fees. For Addison's Walk (Magdalen) or the Botanic Garden, I'll advise on access and arrange entry in advance. Many of Oxford's most beautiful spots are publicly accessible.
How long is the session?
Standard couples sessions are 75–90 minutes — enough time to visit 1–2 locations, settle in, and create a wide variety of images without feeling hurried.
Tell me your preferred date and which location appeals — I'll confirm availability and advise on the best spots and timing for your season.
