Natural, relaxed family portraits in Coventry's parks, country estates, and Warwickshire countryside.
Coventry Family Photography
Coventry sits at the heart of England surrounded by some genuinely beautiful green land — from the ancient abbey and grounds at Coombe to the wildlife-rich Brandon Marsh, to the wide formal avenues of War Memorial Park. There is no shortage of extraordinary settings for family portraits within easy reach.
These sessions are relaxed and unhurried. I work around children and dogs and muddy boots and the natural chaos of family life — because that is precisely where the real moments are.

Locations
War Memorial Park
Coventry's largest park — rose gardens, wide open meadows, tree-lined avenues, and the ornate War Memorial as a landmark backdrop. Golden hour here is exceptional in late summer and autumn.
Coombe Abbey Country Park
A magnificent 500-acre country park with a 12th-century abbey, formal walled gardens, woodland walks, and a large lake. One of Warwickshire's most photographically rich settings.
Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve
Wetland and grassland reserve southeast of Coventry — reed beds, open water, and bird-rich paths offering a more wild, natural feel away from the managed parks.
Ryton Pools Country Park
A quiet green space with lakes, woodland, and meadow paths on the city's southern edge — great for relaxed family walks and natural dappled-light portraits.
Coventry Cathedral & City Centre
For families who want an urban setting — the striking contrast of the old ruined cathedral and the new Basil Spence building provides bold architectural backdrops for more contemporary family portraits.
Kenilworth & Warwick Surrounds
Just ten minutes south of Coventry, Kenilworth and Warwick offer medieval castle settings, the Kenilworth Castle grounds, and the beautiful Warwick town parkland along the River Avon.
Outdoors, however you define it
Whether your family thrives in open wildness or wants a manicured park, Coventry has both. Every session is shaped around your family's pace.
Natural, not staged
No rigid poses. The best family portraits come from movement, play, and genuine connection — I follow the moments rather than manufacture them.
School-holiday and weekend availability
Flexible timing including weekends, school holidays, and term-time early evenings — designed to work around your family.
Print-ready edits included
All images are professionally edited and delivered to a high resolution suitable for album printing, wall art, and framing — no extras required.
Coombe Abbey is the most spectacular setting — the abbey, lake, and walled garden offer extraordinary variety in a single visit. War Memorial Park is the best option for city-based families who want something accessible and green. I'll discuss options with you once I know your family's preferences.
This is completely normal. I work at the child's pace, never force interaction, and stay entirely natural. Toddler chaos is part of real family life — and often creates the most honest, beautiful images.
All parks listed above allow dogs on leads. Absolutely — bring them.
For peak autumn sessions (October especially), 6–8 weeks in advance. Summer and spring bookings are slightly easier, but even 4 weeks notice is helpful.
Yes — grandparents, cousins, multiple generations. The Extended Session is designed for larger groups. Please mention the total number of people when enquiring.
