Heavy metal culture is fundamentally about emotional intensity — music that does not apologise for how it sounds, imagery that does not dilute itself, and a community built on shared aesthetic conviction. Heavy metal weddings carry the same energy. The all-black dress code, the dramatic florals (dahlias, black calla lilies, dark roses), the skull motifs and iron filigree, and the choice to have a band playing at volume during the reception — these are not affectations. They're genuine.

I approach the photography the same way. No manufactured softness, no forced prettiness. I look for the dramatic, the intense, the genuinely emotional — the exchange of vows between two people who have found each other in a community most of the world doesn't understand.
