Every mile you trained for, every finish line you crossed — professional running photography that captures the achievement you earned
Why Race Photography Matters
The Cambridge Half Marathon. Training for months — the early mornings, the long Sunday runs, the sessions you did not want to do but did anyway. The race day itself passes in a blur. And the generic photographer at the finish catches you with eyes half-closed and a stranger crossing in front.
My individual runner service is different. I pre-plan your bib numbers, track your anticipated race pace, and position across multiple points on the Cambridge course — including the finish line — specifically to capture you at your best at the moments that matter most.
The result is a set of genuine action images of your race that reflect the effort and achievement of the day. The kind you actually want to share.
How It Works
The packed corral, the nervous energy, the countdown — the start captures the full scale of a running event and the determination on every face.
I position at multiple points along the course — the early miles when packs are still together, the middle miles, and the brutal final stretch where every runner's character shows.
The Route through Cambridge passes iconic locations — King's College, the Backs, Midsummer Common, Parker's Piece. I position at each to capture runners against the city's signature backdrop.
The finish line is the moment every runner has been working towards. Arms raised, tears, relief, triumph — I catch every emotion as they cross. The image they will keep forever.

Questions
Yes — individual runner or group packages are available for any Cambridge running event. I pre-plan your bib numbers, agree on 3–4 course positions (including the finish line), and track you across the event to deliver a complete set of action images. This is one of the most meaningful gifts you can give yourself or a fellow runner after a training cycle.
For individual/group commissions, I photograph your bib numbers and match them during the editing process. For full event coverage with an organiser, I can integrate with race timing data and set up a searchable gallery where runners find themselves by bib number, name, or race time.
Yes — the Cambridge Half Marathon course passes through the city centre and suburban areas of Cambridge. I plan my multi-point positions based on the course map before race day, ensuring coverage from the start line through key course landmarks (including King's Parade, the Backs, and Parker's Piece when the route permits) to the finish at Parkers Piece.
Individual runner commissions are typically delivered within 48 hours of the event. Full event coverage is delivered within 5 working days. For press-needed events, I can expedite a selection of finish-line images within an hour of race completion.
Absolutely — charity runs are events I find genuinely rewarding to photograph. The community character, the costumes, the first-time runners pushing through, the supporter signs — there is incredible human content in a charity running event. I offer discounted rates for registered charities.
Corporate event running coverage includes everything from the briefing and warm-up through to finish-line celebrations and post-event group photographs. I deliver images in formats suitable for internal communications, LinkedIn, press releases, and sponsor reports.
