Are you fully DBS checked?
Yes — I hold a current Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate, which I am happy to present in advance or on the day. I am also fully insured with professional indemnity and public liability cover appropriate for working in educational settings.
How do you handle children who are reluctant or camera-shy?
Patience, gentleness, and humour. I am experienced working with children from nursery age through to sixth form, and I know how to create a calm, relaxed atmosphere that translates into natural photographs. I never rush a child or produce forced smiles — the results genuinely reflect each child's character.
What areas of Cambridgeshire do you cover?
I am based in Cambridge and cover the full county of Cambridgeshire — from Ely and St Ives to Huntingdon, Peterborough, St Neots, and out to the Fens. Travel beyond Cambridgeshire into Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, and Hertfordshire is available at a supplementary rate.
How do parents order photographs?
Following the photography session, parents receive access to a secure online gallery through which they can view, select, and order photographs directly. Digital downloads and a range of print products — including prints, canvases, keyrings, and photo books — are available. The school receives a summary report and percentage of sales or a flat fee, depending on your preferred arrangement.
Can you provide risk assessments and safeguarding documentation in advance?
Yes — I provide a full method statement and risk assessment for school photography sessions on request, and I am happy to complete any school-specific safeguarding documentation required. I operate under a GDPR-compliant image use policy which I will share with you as part of the booking process.
Do you offer a repeat-booking discount for schools who book annually?
Yes — schools who book annually receive preferential rates and scheduling priority. Many of my school clients have been with me for multiple years, and I offer a loyalty discount structure for returning schools. Please ask about this when you enquire.
