Newlands Corner, the hilltop viewpoint above the town, is particularly special at golden hour when the chalk grass glows and the views stretch for miles.

Loseley Park, with its walled garden and Elizabethan manor, adds an elegance that works beautifully for maternity portraits. The River Wey meadows in town provide a quieter, more intimate setting. When should I book a maternity session in Guildford?

Between 28 and 34 weeks is the sweet spot — the bump is beautifully defined and you're still comfortable walking between locations. The Surrey Hills look stunning year-round: bluebell woodland in April-May, golden downland in summer and autumn, and dramatic low winter light across the Weald.

What makes Newlands Corner so special for maternity photography?

Newlands Corner is one of the finest viewpoints in the South East. The chalk grassland slopes away to panoramic views over the Greensand Hills and the Weald beyond. At golden hour, the light from the west hits the grass and the subjects in a way that is simply extraordinary — warm, directional, and incredibly flattering. It is one of my most-requested Surrey locations.

Can we photograph at Loseley Park?

Yes — Loseley Park and its walled garden are available for portrait sessions. The Elizabethan manor provides an elegant architectural backdrop, and the walled garden's white roses in June are beautiful. I can arrange access as part of an extended session booking.

What areas of Surrey do you cover from Guildford?
