Bradford's Victorian and Edwardian domestic architecture is among the most characterful in the north of England. The district's terraced streets — from the back-to-backs of the inner city to the grander bay-window terraces of Shipley and Saltaire — have a warmth and character that photographs beautifully with natural light. Your home, wherever it is in the Bradford district, is where your baby's life begins.
I come to your home within the first two weeks of your baby's life and spend two to three hours working gently and unhurriedly with available light. Morning light through a bay window in Shipley, afternoon light in a countryside cottage above Haworth — whatever your home provides, that is what I work with. No studio, no artificial lights, no displacement.

When should I book a newborn session near Bradford?+
Book during pregnancy to secure a date in your due-date window. Newborn lifestyle sessions work best between 5 and 14 days after birth — babies are naturally sleepy in this window and settle well. I hold provisional dates during pregnancy and confirm once your baby has arrived.
Do you travel to Leeds, Halifax, Keighley, and surrounding areas?+
Yes — I cover Bradford and all of West Yorkshire including Leeds (20 min), Shipley, Saltaire, Baildon, Bingley, Keighley, Haworth, Halifax, and into the Calderdale valley. Travel within 25 miles of Bradford is included in the session fee.
What makes Bradford homes good for newborn photography?+
Bradford's Victorian and Edwardian terraced streets — in Shipley, Eccleshill, Heaton, and across the district — have large bay windows and bay-window alcoves that give beautiful soft, directional natural light for newborn photography. The older mill workers' terraces in Saltaire and Shipley have a particular warmth of proportion. Countryside and moorland-edge homes in Haworth and the Aire Valley have a different, quieter character.
Are siblings and family portraits included?+
Yes — always. Sibling portraits are some of the most requested and most treasured images from any newborn session. I photograph the whole family naturally throughout the session.

Via private online gallery within 5–14 days. Both high-resolution print files and web-optimised files are included. You can download, share, and print directly from the gallery.
