Leicestershire is a county of enormous variety when it comes to homes and light. Victorian terraces in the city's Clarendon Park and Stoneygate neighbourhoods have bay windows and generous rooms. Georgian market towns — Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Loughborough — often have fine townhouse proportions with large sash windows and quiet, elegant interiors. Rural Leicestershire and Rutland offer cottage kitchens and farmhouse sitting rooms with deep-silled windows and warm, directional light.
I photograph newborns entirely in your own home, in the lifestyle tradition — no props, no studio visit, no posing. Just patient, quiet documentation of the real moments of those first irretrievable days. I cover all of Leicestershire and Rutland and bring the session to you so that you never have to leave home during the most tender weeks of your baby's life.

Best Timing
5–14 days old
Book during pregnancy and I will hold a date around your due date, confirmed once baby has arrived. The ideal window is 5–14 days after birth.
I cover all of Leicestershire and Rutland including Leicester city, Loughborough, Hinckley, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Coalville, Lutterworth, and Oakham. Travel throughout the county is included in the session fee.
I photograph in every kind of Leicestershire home — Victorian terraced houses in the city, Edwardian semis in the suburbs, Georgian townhouses in the market towns, and rural farmhouses and cottages in the countryside. Every home has good light somewhere, and finding it and working with it beautifully is central to my approach.
Yes — siblings and dogs are always welcome. Many families choose to include all generations for part of the session. Older children often love to be involved and some of the most moving images from any newborn session show that very first sibling meeting.
The classic 'newborn' look — the deep sleep, the natural curling — is most evident at 5–14 days. After about 3 weeks, babies become more alert and wakeful. That said, I photograph babies up to 6 weeks old and can adapt the session style accordingly. If you missed the very early window, please do get in touch.
