Your First Days at Home in the Potteries
Stoke-on-Trent's domestic architecture is among the most characterful in the Midlands — Victorian terraces with decorative ridge tiles, the distinctive Potteries blue brick, and the occasional bottle kiln glimpsed at the end of a street. Your home is part of this landscape, and it is the place your baby's life begins. That is where I photograph newborn sessions.
I come to your home within the first two weeks of your baby's life and spend two to three hours working with whatever natural light is available — sash-window light in a Longton terrace, cottage-window light in a Staffordshire rural home. No studio, no displacement, no artificiality. The result is a genuine documentary of your family's beginning in your own particular place.

When should I book a newborn session near Stoke?+
Book during pregnancy to secure a date in your due-date window. Newborn sessions work best between 5 and 14 days after birth when babies are naturally sleepy. I hold slots in advance and confirm once your baby has arrived.
Do you travel to Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford, and Staffordshire?+
Yes — I cover the whole of the Stoke conurbation including Hanley, Burslem, Longton, Fenton, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stone, and Stafford. Travel within 25 miles of Stoke city centre is included.
What makes Stoke homes good for newborn photography?+
The Potteries have a distinctive domestic character — Victorian and Edwardian terraces in Hanley, Longton, and Tunstall have beautiful proportioned sash windows that give soft, directional north light particularly well-suited to newborn photography. Staffordshire countryside homes have a different quality: lower ceilings, cottage windows, and warm stone interiors. I work with whatever light your home provides.
Are siblings and family portraits included?+
Yes — always. Sibling portraits are some of the most requested and most treasured images from any newborn session. I photograph the whole family naturally together across the session.
What format are the images delivered in?+
Via private online gallery, within 5–14 days. Both web-resolution and print-resolution files are included. You can download, share, and print directly from the gallery.
