Natural portraits by Worcester Cathedral, along the Severn, and in the dramatic Malvern Hills beyond the city.
Worcester Cathedral — positioned directly above the River Severn — provides one of the most dramatic portrait settings in the Midlands. The Cathedral Green and the riverbank immediately below offer a sweep of medieval and riverside scenery within a short walk of the city centre. At golden hour, the light across the Severn catches the Cathedral's western tower in a way that is extraordinary.
Beyond the city, the Malvern Hills — rising sharply from the Worcestershire plain — are only 20 minutes from Worcester and provide open space, elevated views, and dramatic light for more adventurous locations. Croome Park (National Trust) and the Vale of Evesham orchards add further variety across the seasons.

The Cathedral grounds and College Green are publicly accessible and make superb portrait backdrops. The cloisters sometimes require prior permission for photography — I will advise during planning. The riverbank side is always available and offers the famous Cathedral-over-Severn view.
The Malverns are outstanding for portraits when clients want open, dramatic landscapes — the long views across Worcestershire and Herefordshire are unlike anything else in the Midlands. The hills are best in the morning or in the warm evening light. Bring comfortable footwear as some of the best spots require a short walk.
Yes — I cover the whole of Worcestershire including Kidderminster, Redditch, Droitwich, Pershore, and the villages of the Vale of Evesham. In spring the orchard blossom around Evesham is genuinely extraordinary for outdoor portraits.
Worcester is within my regular Midlands travel circuit. A travel supplement is included transparently in your session quote.
